Jane initiated this partnership of four local longstanding charities in Oban - Hope Kitchen, Oban Youth Cafe, AliEnergy, Lorn & Oban Healthy Options.
This partnership enabled them to apply collectively to the Investing in Communities Fund - a level of funding none could have accessed individually. The resulting three-year project provided some core funding for each partner, supported new local delivery, and ultimately led to the creation of the Re_Store charity shop.
DSC holds a strategic development contract with the CCC, facilitating annual away days, supporting partnership development, and identifying and securing funding opportunities.
Jane mentors the Development Officer in her role, providing guidance on strategic planning, partnership working, and income generation to strengthen the long-term sustainability of the initiative.
