Re_store is more than a charity shop - it offers Rescued food, a workshop space for mending & making and a community hub. It brings people together, promotes sustainability in real, practical ways, and shares information about local activities and the work of its four charity partners. In the workshop space, the Re_store team teach skills and help local people to build confidence.

Early in 2025, Re_Store hosted an event celebrating both sustainable fashion and the first anniversary of the Re_Store community shop. The fashion show, which was a sell-out, featured clothing from the shop and upcycling workshops. Attendees also saw short films about the charity partners and had the opportunity to purchase the featured items afterward.

Jane had the initial vision for Re_store and secured funding for the development of its first business plan. A year later, DSC was commissioned to update the plan to support the project’s continued growth and success. We also produced all the launch films and secured over £100,000 in setup and operational funding to bring the vision to life.

We continue to support Re_store’s strategic development and long-term sustainability through a tailored contract built into secured funding. Surplus income supports the wider work of the CCC and, over time, aims to benefit other local groups.

Late in 2025, Re_Store hosted the Re_Love Hub - a community event offering families the chance to refresh their children’s wardrobes and pass on preloved items. The initiative culminated in a preloved sale featuring kids’ clothes, games, books and shoes. The event also hosted a creche, facepainting, storytelling and craft workshops — promoting reuse, sustainability, and community connection.
